I only do it during peak hours in my area for about an hour or two.... And make about 35 to 40 dollar a day.... three days a week.

SO WHAT IS DOORDASH AND UBEREATS
Ubereats and DoorDash are food delivery or ride-sharing companies that hires independent drivers to do food deliveries. DoorDash orders are restricted to food only. Where as Ubereats you can pick up food order or pick up costumers. You use an app to receive orders, then navigate to the restaurant and then to the customer. REALLY SIMPLE.

DoorDash Drivers

Receive delivery requests inside the DoorDash app and deliver them to the customer

You must schedule shifts in advance. You can apply for a shift without signing up if slots are available

Sometimes the customer enters their order through the app and pays through the app, all you do is pick up the food.

Sometimes you have to make the order and pay with a special DoorDash Red Card..... :(.

Text notifications within the app can get irritating especially while delivering.

You must be 18 years or older

Have access to a vehicle or bicycle

Any car, truck, motorcycle, or scooter

Own an iPhone or Android smartphone

Driver’s license with at least one year of driving experience

Valid insurance with name on policy

Provide a social security number for a background check

Pass a background and driving record check

Earn around $5 – $15 per hour.

Complete an orientation online or in person

Doordash supply's you with a Food warming bag.... :)

Customers tip inside the app. You keep 100% of tips...yayy

GPS is not integrated into the app. It will use Google Map or Apple Map. :(

UberEATS drivers

UberEATS drivers pick up and deliver food to customers. Uber drivers don’t handle payment, only deliveries.... This is perfect.

The work is flexible. Schedule your own hours.

drivers can be 19 years old

cars can be 1998 or newer.

You can also deliver on a bike or scooter.

Bicycle delivery partners can be 18 or older.

Valid insurance with name on policy

Provide a social security number for a background check.

Pass a background and driving record check.

Valid Driver’s license.

You can choose to do only food deliveries, or if your car qualifies you can also do Uber rides.

You receive requests that tell you where to pick up and drop off the order

The app will tell you if the drop off is curbside or if you have to go to their door.

UPSIDE TO DELIVERING

• The work is flexible.
• Schedule your own hours
• You can earn tips.

DOWNSIDE TO DELIVERING

• No guaranteed wage and potential low pay.
• If you don’t get many deliveries, your pay can be less than the minimum wage.
• Fuel expenses plus wear and tear on your car seriously eat into your income and thats even if you deduct vehicle expenses on your taxes.
• Parking, communicating with restaurants and customers, finding the right place to drop off the delivery can be a pain.
